Foo Fighters have continued their archival live release series with the surprise arrival of a second installment in their Foo Fighters – Are Playing Where? EP collection, offering fans another batch of performances captured during the band’s intimate club shows. The digital release follows the first volume, which spotlighted rare songs recorded during the group’s underplay concerts and was issued without advance notice, continuing the band’s recent strategy of quietly unveiling new music.
Like its predecessor, the new EP draws from the band’s string of small-venue performances that took place before launching their larger touring schedule. The recordings showcase deeper cuts and fan favorites that are less frequently featured in Foo Fighters’ stadium sets, highlighting the spontaneity and energy of the limited-capacity shows. The Foo Fighters – Are Playing Where? series has also served as a way to document the band’s return to the stage with drummer Ilan Rubin following the lineup change earlier this year.
The Foo Fighters – Are Playing Where??? Vol. 11 EP is available exclusively on Bandcamp, with all proceeds from the six-track EP to be donated to local charities combating food insecurity in the cities where the performances were recorded. The album is available on a “pay what you wish” basis, allowing fans to stream it for free or purchase a digital copy and support the chosen charities. The band said in a statement on their Bandcamp page, “Hope you check out more music while you are here. Long live rock!!!”
