blink-182 confirmed as first headliner for Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park 2027

blink-182 has been revealed as the opening headline performer for the 2027 editions of Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. Promoters broke the news on the introductory evening of the 2026 festival cycle, flashing the update across massive venue monitors amid a fireworks display directly following a set by Papa Roach. The surprise announcement also featured a social media teaser showing the band’s classic rabbit mascot waving a flag displaying the festival’s branding.

This booking gives the classic three-piece lineup of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker their first-ever appearances at the iconic German twin events. According to promoters, securing the reunited group satisfies “one of the most requested debut appearances in the festival’s history,” giving the 2027 lineup its first anchor act. The early rollout mimics a promotional tactic deployed in 2025 when organizers utilized the active festival weekend to unveil Linkin Park for the subsequent year’s roster. Additionally, the timing has sparked widespread speculation that the band could also fill a headline slot at the United Kingdom’s Download Festival, which traditionally shares line-up crossovers.

Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park are scheduled to take place from June 4-6, 2027, taking place at the Nürburgring racetrack and Nuremberg’s Zeppelinfeld, respectively.. Ticket sales opened on June 9, with demand remaining strong after the 2026 editions sold out and attracted around 90,000 attendees at Rock Am Ring. Festival reports indicated that the 2027 presale set a new record, with more than 48,000 weekend tickets sold within the first hour.

The booking marks another high-profile festival appearance for blink-182, who are is concurrently teasing upcoming plans celebrating the 25th anniversary of their multi-platinum 2001 studio album “Take Off Your Pants And Jacket.”
