KISS has announced a 50th anniversary box set celebrating Rock And Roll Over, with the expansive collection featuring 130 tracks, including 100 previously unreleased tracks and mixes. The set is due Nov. 6 in two Super Deluxe configurations: a six-LP set with Blu-ray Audio and a four-CD set with Blu-ray Audio. Both versions will include a newly remastered version of the original 1976 album, as well as a new 2026 stereo mix created by original producer and engineer Eddie Kramer from the analog multitrack tapes.
Originally released Nov. 11, 1976, Rock And Roll Over reached No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and produced the singles “Calling Dr. Love” and “Hard Luck Woman.” Ahead of the box set, KISS is also releasing a new Eddie Kramer 2026 mix of “Mr. Speed” on a seven-inch single Oct. 16, backed by an unreleased instrumental demo.
The vault material includes 22 previously unreleased demos, outtakes and alternate mixes, including nine Gene Simmons demos, a Paul Stanley demo of “I Want Love,” recordings from the Davlen Sound Studios sessions and the unfinished instrumental “Queen For A Day.” The collection also features live performances recorded during KISS’ first Japanese tour in April 1977, with selections from the band’s four shows at Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan newly mixed by Kramer.
Audio extras extend to a Blu-ray featuring Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround versions of both the original album and Kramer’s 2026 mix, along with high-resolution stereo audio. The physical editions also come with an extensive collection of memorabilia, including a 104-page hardcover book containing liner notes by KISStorian Ken Sharp, new interviews with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Kramer, plus previously unreleased photographs and archival collectibles.
