Greta Van Fleet has released “Tear It Down,” the latest preview of its upcoming fourth studio album, Palace for the People, scheduled for release Oct. 9. Palace for the People is the follow-up to the band’s 2023 album Starcatcher, with the album’s title drawing inspiration from London’s Alexandra Palace- a historic venue originally known as “The Palace of the People.”
“Tear It Down” follows the previously released tracks “Play Your Games” and “Saw You Stand.” Built around a forceful guitar riff, the track – produced with Mike Elizondo and recorded in Tennessee – pairs the band’s hard-driving rock sound with more reflective lyrics from vocalist Josh Kiszka.
The track has been part of Greta Van Fleet’s live set for several months, which they debuted alongside “Play Your Games” during its May 27 return to New York’s Bowery Ballroom; marking its first live performance in nearly two years.
