O.A.R. will celebrate nearly three decades together with the release of its new studio album, Three Tinted Windows, dropping on Sept. 18. The project marks the Maryland band’s first full-length effort since 2022 and arrives as the group embarks on its nationwide ‘Three Decades Tour,’ with support from artists including Gavin DeGraw, Phantom Planet, Lisa Loeb and KT Tunstall.
Frontman Marc Roberge and producer Remy Gautreau collaborated on material that traces the group’s journey from its hometown roots to years spent on the road. The title track, released earlier this year, introduced the album’s narrative. Roberge described the song as “the opening scene in the story of O.A.R. – a band leaving their hometown, venturing out onto the highways and back roads of the world,” setting the tone for a record centered on friendship, growth and longevity.
According to details released by the band, Three Tinted Windows reflects on the experiences that have shaped O.A.R.’s career over the past 30 years. The album also includes the recently unveiled track “Legacy,” featuring Citizen Cope and G. Love, alongside previously issued songs such as “Crew.”
