Hatebreed have announced their ninth studio album, Fatal Paradox, set for release Nov. 6 through BLKIIBLK, marking the band’s first full-length since 2020’s Weight of the False Self and its debut on the label. Produced by longtime collaborator Chris “Zeuss” Harris, the 11-track record arrives after a six-year gap and continues the group’s longstanding partnership with the producer behind many of its best-known releases.
Coinciding with the announcement, Hatebreed released the album’s opening track, “Kill Count Increase,” a fast-paced, aggressive first preview that stays true to the band’s trademark blend of metallic hardcore and crushing riffs. Frontman Jamey Jasta described the song as “It’s straightforward, in-your-face HATEBREED. Fast. Hard. It gets down to business and comes up for air two-and-a-half minutes later. The room and everyone in it gets wrecked and comes back wanting more.”
Fatal Paradox features several notable additions, including a guest appearance by Obituary vocalist John Tardy on “Sacrifice Season” and a cover of Corrosion of Conformity’s 1984 song “Poison Planet.” The album also represents the band’s first studio release following the departure of founding bassist Chris Beattie, whose exit in 2024 remains the subject of an ongoing legal dispute.
