Morrissey has canceled his planned four-show Las Vegas engagement at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, citing “unforeseen logistical issues” less than a week before the series was scheduled to begin. The performances had been set for Aug. 14, 15, 18 and 19. Ticket buyers were notified by email, while the shows were subsequently removed from Wynn’s entertainment listings and Ticketmaster.
The Las Vegas concerts were announced in April as part of Morrissey’s 2026 U.S. tour supporting his solo album “Make-Up Is a Lie” and the “Deluxe Notre-Dame” EP. The run was intended to launch the U.S. portion of his itinerary before the singer continued with dates across the country beginning in September, including a scheduled appearance at the CBGB Festival in Brooklyn.
As noted, Morrissey recently released the four-track Deluxe Notre-Dame EP, expanding on material from his latest studio album, Make-Up Is a Lie. The project centers on the album track “Notre-Dame” while adding three companion recordings: “Notre-Dame (Orchestrated Version),” “Hello Hell,” and “Happy New Tears.” The release is available digitally and as a limited 12-inch colored vinyl edition. Producer Joe Chiccarelli oversaw the orchestral rendition, which features strings recorded in Paris. The new collection revisits one of the standout songs from Make-Up Is a Lie, an album that became Morrissey’s 16th solo Top 10 release in the United Kingdom after debuting at No. 3 earlier this year. Despite the Las Vegas cancellation, Morrissey’s broader 2026 schedule has included additional U.S. dates in the fall, as well as a series of U.K. arena performances planned for December.
