Marilyn Manson has announced his next studio album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, which is scheduled for release Aug. 14 through Nuclear Blast Records. The project serves as the follow-up to 2024’s One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1 and marks the 13th studio album of his career. Manson again collaborated with longtime musical partner Tyler Bates, who co-produced and co-wrote the record. The album will also arrive ahead of Manson’s late-summer co-headlining tour with Rob Zombie.
Manson also dropped the album’s lead single, “Exit Wound,” accompanied by a music video. The song offers the first preview of a nine-track collection that expands on the themes and sonic direction established on the first chapter. New songs include “Unalive,” “Don’t Answer The Door,” “Front Toward Enemy,” “The Arsonist” and “Enantiomorph.”
In a statement released with the announcement, Manson said, “I am proud to give you the second chapter of One Assassination Under God. This completes my story. I used each stone that was thrown at me to sharpen my edges. I outgrew purgatory and carved these songs into the skin of the world. As you listen I hope it forms a scar that you cannot forget.”
