Tesla shares video for “Never Alone” ahead of new album ‘Homage’

Veteran hard rock band Tesla has released “Never Alone,” the lone original track from its forthcoming album Homage, which arrives July 17 through Frontiers Music.

Homage marks a return to the band’s roots. The Sacramento-based band said that the album is intended as a musical tribute to artists whose work helped shape Tesla’s sound. Alongside “Never Alone,” the collection features versions of songs made famous by Queen, Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, Bob Seger, Supertramp, James Brown, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Creedence Clearwater Revival and others. The project marks a return to the band’s roots, reflecting its beginnings as a club act performing cover material before achieving commercial success with its own songs.

Tesla said in a statement: “Our new album ‘Homage’ is a thank-you note written in sound. An offering to the great singers and songs that shaped the music we grew up listening to, and the songs we would eventually write. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it. Thank you for all the years — keep it real and keep on rockin’!”

Tesla is expected to support the release of Homage with the launch of its summer run with Mötley Crüe and Extreme on July 17, the same day the album drops. A complete list of dates can be found at Teslatheband.com.
