The Rolling Stones to chronicle upcoming album in new podcast series

The Rolling Stones have announced a new six-part official podcast titled “Speaking in Tongues,” designed to give fans a comprehensive look at the creation of their upcoming studio album, “Foreign Tongues.”

The limited audio series is scheduled to debut on June 25, across all major streaming platforms. The launch occurs just ahead of the album’s global release on July 10 through Capitol Records and Polydor.

Narrated by Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Norah Jones, the podcast will take listeners “inside the studio on an intimate and exclusive journey tracing the story of the inspiration, writing and recording of the new album.” The episodes will feature rare, brand-new conversations with band members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood as they reflect on their collaborative process, studio techniques, and decades of musical legacy.

Listeners will be treated to unreleased studio outtakes, early track developments, and entirely unheard material tracking how raw guitar riffs evolved into finished tracks. The production will also highlight insight from several high-profile album collaborators and production staff, including producer Andrew Watt, cover illustrator Nathaniel Mary Quinn, Steve Winwood, and Robert Smith of The Cure.

The upcoming 14-track Foreign Tongues LP represents the legendary rock group’s 25th studio release, serving as the follow-up to their 2023 collection, “Hackney Diamonds.” The record is set to feature the final archival drum recordings from late band member Charlie Watts, alongside appearances by Paul McCartney and a rendition of the Amy Winehouse track “You Know I’m No Good.” To accompany the podcast’s debut week, the band will release their newest promotional single, “Jealous Lover,” on June 26.
