System of a Down and Deftones teaming up for special performance at Golden Gate Park

System of a Down and Deftones are teaming up to play a one-of-a-kind performance by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco later this year.

SOAD posted on social media: “System Of A Down and Deftones. 8/17/24. Join us for a historic night in San Francisco with special guests The Mars Volta, Viagra Boys, and VOWWS. Sign up for our mailing list at link in bio for pre-sale access. General on-sale this Friday at 10AM PT.”

As reported by Loudwire, the standalone concert will take place on Aug. 17 at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, making it the first-ever ticketed concert to take place there. The outdoor show will also feature support from the Mars Volta, Viagra Boys, and the duo VOWWS.

Next up for System of a Down will be a performance this month at the second annual ‘Sick New World’ festival in Las Vegas; and lead vocalist Serj Tankian is scheduled to release his memoir Down With the System on May 14.
